THE WORK: A MINISTRY OF MONSTERS

“You can’t heal the darkness if you are afraid to touch it.”

WE’RE ALL WOUNDED

Q: How can you follow Jesus and play these monsters?

A: Empathy. We make our own monsters, don’t we? We’re all Dr. Frankensteins in our own lives, and in the lives of the ones we say we love.

My sympathies have always been with the monster. We’re all scarred; broken. The true monster won’t admit their own monstrosity, or that grace waits in the dark.
